The Parrot Developer Summit is a meeting of core Parrot and high-level language developers to hammer out a roadmap to the production release of Parrot 1.0.
Location
Google has graciously agreed to host the summit, November 15th and 16th, 2008 at their Mountain View headquarters. You can find directions to the campus at:
http://code.google.com/events/visitors
Lodging
Lodging for the summit is available at Hotel Avante in Mountain View. Parrot Foundation has negotiated a rate of $89 per night for Friday and Saturday night stays.
Parrot's policy on room reimbursement is as follows: 50% of the room rate (plus tax) will be reimbursed for Friday and Saturday nights for each attendee. This means that if you share a room, your room is fully paid for. Otherwise, you pay half, and Parrot pays half. It's up to you to find a roommate and make the appropriate booking.
Email Jeanine Conforti (mailto:jconforti@jdvhotels.com) directly to book your room, or call the hotel directly at 650-940-1000. Either way, be sure to mention the group name 'Parrot'.
Hotel directions are available at:

If you are considering attending the conference, please answer the questions on the attendee survey.

Travel Info
Parrot's policy on travel reimbursement is as follows: 100% of coach class airfare to local airports (SFO, OAK, SJC) is covered for attendees. Remember, this is the most expensive portion of the summit budget, so please find the lowest rate that strikes a fair balance between travel time and cost.
